I’ve encountered this when trying to upgrade from Offfice to and have had nothing but grief with the process. I’ve read and followed virtually every suggestion with no resolution What I need here is a legitimate fix for the install problem I have Come Microsoft, support this, you’ve got my money now I’d like to have the use of the program that I’m struggling to install XP OS. As you have mentioned that you have Office installed on the computer, you may run the fix from the below link to remove the traces of Office completely from the computer:. Download and install office removal kit using which you can uninstall Office Click on the link below.
Click on downloads and download Ork. Once Office is removed, you may run the fix it to remove Office traces as well:. Rename the ‘Microsoft Help’ folder as ‘Microsoft Help. OLD’ Now try installing Office and check if it works. This site in other languages x. Now try installing Office and verify the results. If issue still persists, then start the system in Clean Boot and try installing Office How to configure Windows XP to start in a “clean boot” state.

There was nothing else. As far as the clean boot goes, I know a little bit about computers, however sometimes a little knowlege can be dangerous. Note: Application data folder is hidden folder so refer the link below to know on how to display hidden files and folders:.

I’ve finally gotten Office out of the way so that I can install Unfortunately, every time I try, this error appears. Does anybody have any ideas as to what is going on and how I can remedy this? Please don’t make my go back to Switch user don’t log off! Double-check that everything works. This will force the computer to shut down instantly, which will close the installer with the error without giving it the opportunity to roll back its changes.
