A few weeks ago, my MacBook Pro crashed and the Apple store had to un-install and re-install my operating system so obviously my Avid was removed. Here’s my problem, I can’t remember for the life of me what version of Media Composer I was working on, I can’t find the install disk or install download. Today I purchased the MC 6. Ok, so how can I install the MC I had before my crash and then install the 6.
Assuming you’ve been using a dongle for activation, download the dongle manager and use it to read the info from the dongle. That will show the last version you were licensed to use. Thank you. I found the cd install disk for the MC 2. Any other ideas? The CD should ahve the readme pdf for that version of MC. Check your OS is still the supported version for MC 2. I suspect you may have a newer OS installed T E pat vet-training.
If I was you I would snag the latest MC 2. Under Avid Linked Accounts, select “request an account”. I realize this is a dated thread but I have a donlge for Media Composer v2. Are they still available?
